Chambok is located in Kampong Speu province, in southwestern Cambodia and Chambok is an Ecotourism Site. It is about 110 km from Phnom Penh. It shares the border with Kirirom National Park. There are several ways to get to Chambok. You can take a bus from Phnom Penh to Preah Sihanouk province and get dropped off at Treng Trayeung or you can take a minibus directly to Treng Trayeung. It takes approximately 2.5 hours from Phnom Penh to Treng Trayeung (depending on the season). From Treng Trayeung you can bring moto cap to the site. It lasts another 45 minutes. Then you can also rent a taxi directly to Chambok in Phnom Penh. It is known for its three streams, one of which has a beautiful waterfall of more than 40 meters high. The English-speaking guides will tell you a lot about both animals that live in the forests and plants that grow there.
In addition to the forest and mountain scenery, there are waterfalls, streams and a bat cave. Chambok gives you a great insight into the simple culture of the countryside. They do this by means of traditional dance and music performances. Various activities are undertaken in Chambok. There are guided hikes through the forest to one of the waterfalls or streams, a visit to a bat cave, bird watching and animal tracks. You can also cycle and ride with an ox cart or have a picnic, which has been prepared entirely by a local women's group. Staying in a homestay is great fun in Chambok. In addition to Chambok's ecotourism, Kirirom National Park has a simple guesthouse and restaurant. This is not far from Chambok. The Kirirom Hillside Resort is a multi-bungalows hotel, restaurant, theme park and swimming pool on the edge of Kirirom National Park. The town of Treng Trayeung with its market and restaurants is also close to Chambok.
You can also swim in a stream, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding and sailing with a kind of pedal boat.
